Representative Office
A considerable proportion of our clients opt to open a Representative Office (RO) in China because it is cost efficient and it requires no capital investment.
The Representative Office is a non-legal entity representing its parent company overseas. An RO is established by foreign companies to engage in business liaisons, quality control, product promotion, market research, technology exchange and other permitted activities in China.
An RO is not allowed to engage itself in business activities, issue invoices on its own, remit outwards, sign sales or purchase contracts, or receive income from services performed, but it may act as a liaison and promotion office for its parent company.
Once your RO is officially registered, its accounting records must be maintained in accordance with accounting standards in China. Taxes also need to be reported on a monthly (for business tax, individual income tax) and quarterly (corporate income tax) basis. Late submissions will face a penalty and surcharges.
We offer a standard one year package for ROs that includes:
· RO establishment (inclusive of service and government fees);
· One (1) year accounting service (bookkeeping, accounting reports & tax declaration);
· First capital verification report fee;
· Bank account opening;
· First year RO licences renewal;
· First year annual audit report;
· First year tax return;
· One (1) year work & residence permit
· One (1) year residence permit for one (1) family member of the Legal Representative.
Your personal package will be drawn up with a dedicated RosettaPro consultant, who will ensure your package includes everything you require. Contact us now to discuss this further.
